The diagnosis was clearly explained and I was given sufficient information to make informed decisions about treatment. Mr White was always very professional and took time to check I had understood and listened to me. I was well informed about the level of pain to expect post op and provided with good pain medication. However, I was still unprepared for the overwhelming level of pain I initially experienced. Maybe, having discussion with my partner present post op and clearer understanding of the maximum dose I could take vs prescribed dose in extreme circumstances. Overall Mr White was very courteous, caring and professional which was not only reflected in his theatre team but the hospital ward team.

I saw Mr White for a course of treatment for frozen shoulder, he was very helpful and professional in dealing with my injury. He recommended a course of steroid treatment which has helped immensly and has allowed me to continue with work and hobbies, without too much discomfort. I would totally recommend this consultant to anyone who needed treatment for any joint issues.

I was Impressed by this doctor because he listened to me. He made notes on his dictaphone (or recording machine) while I was there so I could listen to his diagnosis and the plan of action. These notes were then sent to my GP and later sent on to me. If I had forgotten anything that was said , then I had it in writing. It was good to see the same doctor on each visit and I was made to feel cared for. On the day of the keyhole surgery I saw Mr White several times, before, during and after the surgery. He was thoughtful, kind and attentive on what seemed to me to be a very busy day for him. The ward and nursing staff was also extremely good and everything was well organised. I even had the same nurse looking after me after surgery. Mr White ( and his anesthetist ) looked after me extremely well during the procedure and explained everything to me whilst I was watching. He even showed me the size of the instruments when I asked him about them. Amazing. I would recommend anyone to have keyhole surgery whilst watching, it's fascinating to see what's going on.
